Where it began

A question by
still mountain water

On the 30th of July, beneath the peaks of Banff and beside the glacial blue of Lake Louise, one of us asked a question — and the other said yes.

What began among the mountains of Canada now finds its celebration across the sea, on the islands of Malta. We would be honoured to have you with us as two stories become one.

Saturday, the seventeenth of October

The Order of the Day

A celebration that begins in the church and carries on long into the Maltese night.

  1. 4:00pm

    The Nuptial Mass

    Balluta Church · St Julian's

    We exchange our vows at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, overlooking Balluta Bay.

  2. 6:00pm

    Welcome Toast

    The Maryanski · The Phoenicia

    Doors open at the Phoenicia. Arrive to two welcome drinks as the evening begins.

  3. 7:00pm

    The Wedding Banquet

    The Ballroom · The Phoenicia

    A seated dinner — please share your menu choice when you RSVP: chicken, fish or vegetarian.

  4. 9:30pm

    The First Dance

    The dance floor opens — we'd love you to join us on it.

  5. 10:30pm

    Cutting of the Cake

    Something sweet to mark the night.

  6. 11:00pm

    Afterparty

    The Maryanski · until 12am

    The celebration continues late into the night. Dancing shoes encouraged.

Getting Here

Malta International Airport is a 20-minute drive from Valletta, with direct flights from most of Europe.

Where to Stay

The Phoenicia offers rooms for guests; Valletta & Sliema also have hotels a short taxi ride away. [add room block details]

Dress Code

Formal — tuxedos or dark suits, and evening gowns.

Weather in October

Warm Mediterranean evenings, around 23°C — a light layer for the night is wise.
